The Professional Standards Councils have released three new guidance notes as exposure drafts for public consultation.
Public consultation - Fees Payable Exposure Draft
This guidance informs occupational associations about the regulatory fees payable for an application to approve or amend a professional standards scheme; annual fees payable in respect of a scheme; how interest is applied; waivers and remissions of fees; and annual membership assurance reporting.
Public consultation - Data Sources Exposure Draft
This guidance provides information about the broad range of data sources that an association may use as inputs when making an application for a professional standards scheme; meeting its ongoing compliance reporting obligations; and developing consumer-focused risk management strategies aimed at improving professional standards.
Public consultation - Code of Ethics Exposure Draft
This guidance assists occupational associations to understand how to build or review a code of ethics oriented towards improving professional standards and protecting consumers. It is aimed at facilitating a code’s continuous improvement over the life of an association’s professional standards scheme.
