The Professional Standards Councils congratulate Strata Community Association (NSW) on their new professional standards scheme, which will commence in New South Wales on 1 July 2021. It is SCA (NSW)’s first scheme and will remain in force for a period of five years.
The Councils’ Chair, John Vines OAM, presented a certificate in recognition of the scheme to SCA (NSW) President, Chris Duggan, on 18 June 2021 (pictured). Vice President of SCA (NSW), Tony Irvine, commended the scheme application process as rigorous and highly rewarding for the association.
The approval of a professional standards scheme is a significant achievement. The scheme will set a new benchmark for SCA (NSW) as it seeks to improve consumer protection and to increase the professionalism of strata managers in NSW.
It is also a significant occasion for the Councils, as we welcome a new association and occupation into the national system for professional standards regulation.
The Councils look forward to working with SCA (NSW).
