The Professional Standards Council will be delivering its second Forum in Melbourne in November, on 'Complaints as a Risk Management Tool'.
Leaders of occupational associations are invited to join the Councils’ Chair, John Vines OAM, the Victorian Legal Services Commissioner, Fiona McLeay, and the CEO of SOCAP, Fiona Brown, at 8:30am for the Forum Panel. This is an opportunity to hear and discuss how associations can better use their intelligence holdings to facilitate and promote consumer protection through improvement in professional standards under professional standards schemes.
It will be followed by a Forum Workshop for professional standards and complaints handling staff of associations at 10:45am. The workshop will be co-delivered by Nicole Cullen from SOCAP and John R Rappell from the Professional Standards Authority, with a focus on methodologies to identify the root cause of complaints and how to use that knowledge to improve professional standards and the delivery of services to consumers.
