The CEO of the Professional Standards Councils, Ms Roxane Marcelle-Shaw, has notified the Councils she will retire in March 2025. As she will be taking extended leave from 16 August 2024, this will effectively be her last day.
Ms Marcelle-Shaw joined the Councils to lead the Professional Standards Authority in November 2017. The Chair of the Councils, John Vines OAM, thanked Roxane for her service. “Ms Marcelle-Shaw has been a highly respected and collegiate leader. She helped deliver significant improvement initiatives and championed consumer protection throughout her tenure. Her leadership and commitment have made an outstanding contribution to the Councils’ efforts to improve professional standards,” Mr Vines said.
Ms Marcelle-Shaw’s commitment to public service has been shown throughout a 35 year career which included executive roles and statutory appointments in the Australian Capital Territory, Commonwealth and New South Wales public sectors.
The Director Professional Standards Regulation, Mr Darren Holder, will be Acting CEO until March 2025, providing continuity of leadership for the Authority until the recruitment process is finalised.
