Queensland Law Society congratulated on their new scheme

The Professional Standards Councils congratulates the Queensland Law Society (QLS) on their new professional standards scheme, which commenced in all states and territories on 1 July 2022. This scheme is the Queensland Law Society’s third, and will replace the previous scheme, remaining in force for a period of five years.

Rebecca Fogerty, Councils’ Member for Queensland, presented a certificate in recognition of the scheme to QLS President Kara Thomson. This professional standards scheme will build on the ongoing efforts of QLS to improve consumer protection through the implementation of robust occupational risk management strategies.

The Councils look forward to a continued co-operative relationship with the Queensland Law Society in its promotion of professionalism and consumer protection.
