Reappointments to the Professional Standards Councils

The Professional Standards Authority is pleased to advise that Ministers have made a number of re-appointments to the Professional Standards Councils.

The Councils are independent statutory bodies with powers to approve and supervise professional standards schemes across Australia.

The Tasmanian Attorney-General has re-appointed Tiina-Liisa Sexton as a member for a term ending on 22 August 2024. Ms Sexton is a chartered accountant with a background in risk and financial management, governance and ethics.

Andrew Lumsden has been re-appointed by the NSW Minister for Innovation and Better Regulation as a member for a term ending on 31 March 2024.  Mr Lumsden is a member of the Board at Corrs Chambers Westgarth, specialising in corporate and securities law, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions.

Caroline Lamb has also been re-appointed by the NSW Minister for Innovation and Better Regulation as a member for a term ending on 31 March 2024. Ms Lamb commenced her professional career as a solicitor at a major commercial law firm. Attracted to commerce, she joined a steel manufacturer as general counsel.

The Australian Capital Territory’s Attorney-General has re-appointed Catherine (Cate) Wood AM as a member for a term ending on 30 June 2024. Ms Wood has held many board positions in the profit to member superannuation sector, including as Chair of CareSuper and a director of the Industry Superannuation Property Trust.
