Professional Standards Research
A question of trust
Dr Deen Sanders was recently invited to write for the Australian Human Resources Institute's (AHRI’s) magazine HRMonthly.
AHRI is raising the bar of professionalism for human resource practitioners and is urging its members to get on board with HR certification.
Dr Sanders’ article explores the role of professions in today's changing, evolving landscape and the key role aspiring professional bodies like AHRI can perform.
He states, "it’s true that the world of professions is undergoing radical change but we are confident that they have a vital role and that their importance is only going to grow."
The article also unpacks the role professions have in promoting confidence in consumers of professional services. Professions help clients identify the trusted and ethical expert, who operate from a framework of approved knowledge and ethical practice.
Dr Sanders concludes by encouraging all HR practitioners to get on board and invest in their future.
This article was originally published in HRMonthly, March 2016.
